Get ready to spice up your Sunday with the Rancho Lewis 7th Annual Hatch Chile Roast! On Sunday October 6th from 1 to 5 p.m., come out to Pacific Box & Crate for some smoky, fiery fun as they roast up delicious Hatch chiles. Want to skip the line? Pre-order your Chile batch on their site and pick it up fresh and hot. Don’t miss this flavor-packed event—it’s going to be chile-icious! Drayton Hall at Night will be held on September 14th. This exclusive after-hours event is free for members and includes access to the grounds, live music, scavenger hunts, and colonial games. Archaeologists will be present to discuss recent discoveries. Beer, wine, and pre-ordered cheese boards are available, so bring a picnic and relax under the stars. September 14th will also be the 9th Annual Hope Walk at the Ravenel Bridge for Breast Cancer awareness. The walk starts at 8am and will begin at the Charleston side of the bridge and end in Mount Pleasant. Tickets range from $7 to $25. Raise your glass for Drink Pink, Charleston’s biggest rosé festival! Set at Joe Riley Park, this all-day event (1-7 PM) features live music, DJ sets, rosé samples, and various drink options. Sullivan’s Island & Isle of Palms Starting October 1st the Sullivan’s Island Bonfires are back! Locals and visitors can enjoy evenings by the fire, but be sure to check out the rules and regulations for a safe and enjoyable time and to purchase a permit. Permits are $100 for non residents and $25 for residents of Sullivan's Island. Isle of Palms Connector Run will be on October 5th so lace up for the 10K and 5K races benefiting local child abuse prevention charities. After the race, enjoy the post-race festival, perfect for a family-friendly day of fun. Mount Pleasant Pickle Palooza is happening on September 21st, and if you're a pickle fan, this is your jam! It’s happening at the Embassy Suites Charleston Harbor, and you can expect live music, food trucks, games, pickleball, and, of course, all things pickle. It’s the perfect excuse to gather with the community and have some fun. The event starts at 1pm with a pickle eating contest at 2pm and a pickle juice chug challenge at 2:30 pm. Celebrate the birthplace of Sweet Tea at the hisitoric downtown Summerville Hutchinson Square. Weather in September & October in Charleston In September, Charleston’s weather is still warm, but you’ll start to notice cooler days ahead. With average highs around 83°F and lows near 72°F, it’s the perfect time to enjoy the outdoors. While humidity lingers, it’s not as intense as summer’s peak.
