What’s the Weather Like in Charleston This Time of Year?

June and July in Charleston bring the best of Southern summer—long, sun-filled days, warm ocean breezes, and just the right amount of afternoon thunderstorms to cool things off. Daytime highs typically range from the mid-80s in June to the low 90s in July, with humidity rising alongside the temperature. While pop-up showers are common, they’re usually short-lived and followed by beautiful golden skies. It’s the perfect season for beach days, boat rides, evening festivals, and al fresco everything. Pack your light linens, sunhat, and maybe a poncho—summer in the Lowcountry is in full swing.
