Events in Charleston, May through June. May 16th Charleston Night Bazar Every third Saturday of the month from 5pm-9pm, Edmunds Oast Brewing hosts the Charleston Night Bazar. May 17th and June 7th. Dancing on the Cooper! Live music starts at 7pm on the Mount Pleasant Pier with local bands performing classic country & Rock on May 17th as well as oldies & beach music on June 7th. May 17th Charleston City Night Market The night market is located between Church Street and Market Street, hosting an artisan market that spans three blocks from 6:30 to 10:30 pm. With an extensive list of vendors, it makes for a perfect night to have a martini at Frannie and the Fox and walk over to treat yourself. Gullah Gala Fashion & Music Experience Charleston's red carpet Fashion couture event showcasing designers from all over the world will be hosted at the newly opened International African American museum on May 18th. Kiawah Island Club This year will BIFMC's 17th annual Golf Invitational on May 20th at 12:00 PM Barrier Islands Free Medical Clinic (BIFMC), a wonderful non-profit organization, is excited to announce their upcoming event! The clinic provides free health care to uninsured, low-income adults residing or working across the Barrier Islands and connecting communities. Wednesday May 29th: Frannie & the Fox will host the adorable Mothers Day Cocktail Class. If you happened to miss mothers day this year, join us for a special do-over! June: June 2nd David Spade will be performing his Stand-up routine at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center. His event will start at 8PM on a Sunday, must have been rough to not get that Saturday slot but I'm sure he will be hilarious as he was in Grown Ups. Friday June 7th Rocky Horror Picture show will be performing at the Terrace Theatre. Thursday June 13th The Steve Miller Band will be performing at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center. Folly Beach Pier June 14th There will be a wonderful moonlight mixer on the Folly Beach pier the night of Friday June 14th. All ages are welcome to dance and enjoy the fun. Advanced tickets are $10, then tickets are $15 at the event. Tickets are limited and the event is set to sell out so plan ahead! Last but not least, Kevin Smith will be hosting his stand up on saturday June 15th. Unlike David Spade, he actually got the Saturday slot. He'll be at the Charleston Music Hall starting at 8PM. His simple standup is honeslty hilarious since he pulls from honest stories of his life and career.

April showers bring May flowers but we won’t let the rain spoil our fun! Flowers are already blooming in Charleston AND the April/May event lineup is a good one! Hope to see you at some of these fun events around town! Charleston Farmers Market - Opening April 13th in Downtown Charleston at Marion Square and running every Saturday. The West Ashley Farmers Market runs Wednesdays, starting April 24th at Ackerman Park. Find more details here. Running every Tuesday, you can stroll the Mount Pleasant Farmer's Market. This event starts at 3:30 and runs through 7pm at the Market Pavilion at Moultrie Middle School. For more details, visit their site. Sea Island Farmers Market is another great find on Johns Island. Every Saturday from 9:30am - 1:30pm, there are a wide variety of talented artisans bringing one-of-a-kind creations to choose from. Grab your chair or blanket and head to the Mount Pleasant Towne Center for their spring outdoor concert series Live Under The Oaks. Events March 15th - April 15th 2024
After some cold weather days, spring is certainly in the air and everyone is ready to be out and about for some springtime weather. Flowers are blooming and as the days are getting longer, it gives us more of an opportunity to stroll downtown Charleston. Here are some of the upcoming events this Spring that have caught my attention: 77th Annual Festival of Houses and Gardens starts on March 14th but runs through April 13th. This evens features exciting opportunities from tours to concerts and wine tastings to lectures. Check their website for event information. Come and enjoy the largest St. Patrick's Day Parade in South Carolina. You can be one of the many thousands who march or the many many more or watch. The Parade kicks off on March 16th at 10 AM at King and Radcliffe Streets in Downtown Charleston. The Parade proceeds down King Street and turns onto Broad Street with the Parade ending at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. Check out their website for more information. South Carolina Aquarium is your destination for family fun during Spring Break! Running March 16th - April 8th, hand feed a stingray, learn about the ocean from a diver in our Great Ocean Tank, experience up-close animal encounters and so much more!
